For the way forward!!
As I installed the siding and learned more about it, I realized it was too close the grade, the ground. The siding is comprised of compressed wood chips and various (toxic) glues, adhesives, binders. When wet, OSB expands as the wood absorbs the moisture. I’m replacing the bottom foot of siding around the structure with pressure treated plywood.
I’ll block the interior for fastener foot holds. It will interrupt the insulation, but is an investment for the long haul. I have other little projects including some window trimming material, but not everything to get them installed.
