As I’ve done my one pickup and followed up on two missed signatures. The second of the latter was “on base” (as seen in the photo, no photos while on base, BIG NO-NO). It’s quite still today, yesterday was blustery with a damp chill, rain went inland until after nightfall.
Freight was hours late so I got home just as dark was settling, skipped the evening soak and did the dinner and bed routine. I was on the screened in porch with a cup of tea immersed in frogsong and the incoming intermittent showers when a text came (into the house) from Deedles who’s back from year one of five at architecture school. Hopefully the loose plan of a visit in a couple weeks comes to fruition!!!
Freight is on the way and on the heavy side as we pull hard for Mother’s Day. Tomorrow forecasted the same, currently enjoying a wee respite, as the current pulls the tide out
