As for the little ones, I counted seven yesterday, 8 today (one is very dark and blends in with the liner). They are schooling, nibbling on food as it drifts down, swimming about gently.
The water temperature has risen some. I don’t have the best/most accurate thermometer, and don’t aspire to. This isn’t rocket science, so to speak. Perhaps one of my favorite things about gardening, is the feel, naturalness of it. Oh sure, one can geek out on pH levels, the EC, nutrients and temperatures. It’s not my jam!
I just know that if I were a fish in a big black lined tub, it wouldn’t feel very natural, alive. Water lettuce and floating hyacinth are going to have to wait until 50*.
At that point a couple koi might be in order! I am excited to see more life in the grome. I’ve been putting house projects before the shome project for a variety of reasons, and working some balance. It’s heavenly in there on a sunny day!
