It looks no different, give or take. Ultimately it really isn’t very different when it comes down to it. The diameter is four feet greater, which adds a couple feet in height. I don’t think the design is any different, just the length of the struts between hubs, and the length of the foundation walls they sit on.
What I’ve gone and done is dramatic, on the scale of the simplicity of my life. I pulled the trigger on a 26’ growing dome, arrival sometime this spring or early summer. If it doesn’t fit, I have the option to scale back to the 22’ which caught my attention first.
I’d love to zip upta camp before it snows, but that means I’d be packing and organizing now instead of posting this. I’ll relax here, attend to storm cleanup, and head up Sunday or Monday, for the week!
The snow will stymie my measuring to a minor degree. I’ll certainly be able to discern which size will fit in the gorchard. It’s likely some trees are going to have to move. The fence will get rearranged, and the huggles are going to morph. It’s the next level for the garden, the property. It’s profoundly exciting!
I’m looking at it as more of a vaccine than the antidote for winter. It’s going to make it very different, but it won’t make me immune to its effects.
