The old family cuisinart, it’s a functional antique! It’s very simple, no switches, modes, speed, pulsing options, and made with heavy duty metal.
I first made some “work pucks” in a muffin tin, date based coconut blueberry with nuts&seeds plus a hint of chipotle and heat. They’ve chilled overnight outdoors and I’m going extricate them from the pan.
I used the second half of the date base to make cranberry ginger work balls, rolled in hemp hearts so they don’t stick. It was a sticky fun process, they’re chilled and bagged outdoors.
Today I made 7layerbars, el grande. I enhanced the graham cracker crust with toasted oats, and used ample coconut and walnuts with a little extra liquid. Just bagged those up and, yup, chilling outside (in the big cooler).
Very quiet weekend on the loop, gently gearing up for work. It’s going to be a long haul to spring…
