This time it’s thwarts. It’s essentially one thwart but came in two pieces.
The fastener pattern is erratic and over zealous, but they ain’t goin nowhere!!
True to fashion, once rolling I forget/neglect/can’t be bothered by documenting every little step. Below each thwart is two inches of closed cell foam (there was the PERFECT sized piece laying about in the basement) that was easy to snug into the hole and then glue up against the thwarts during the fastening process.
I need more foam for under the foredeck so will fiddle with the dagger board (needs more sanding, epoxy and the varnish process will begin) and tiller (needs shaping sanding and then varnish) and can begin the rudder.
That’ll fill my time after work, it’s been a splendid staycation!!! I’ll likely buzz to Hamilton Marine in Portland on the rain day for materials, but don’t need much so the bike could suffice. I do, however, desperately need to hit Sun Oriental so as to get back into okonomiyaki mode, and that’s more than MINCX can haul…
