I had leftover epoxy and discovered that I had some cedar in the car that was the correct dimension for the spacers between the inwales and gunwales (I may have ripped it up while thinking ahead upta camp during the table saw session) so jumped on it.

This fracture occurred midship, and didn’t appear to be growing. I goobered some epoxy on it and kept trucking. Only to have a bigger fracture occur on the first frame (by the bow) expecting a little too much out of the pine

I’ll glue and screw and support it, moving onward. It’s not a complete fail, but at that point I was out of epoxy and running out of steam etc.
The skies have quieted after the second (and thankfully LAST) Blue Angel show, there’s a sporadic breeze gray breeze and the stuffed cabbage leaves are finally in the oven.
I shoulda stuck ‘em in a couple hours ago but I was focused and had epoxy on my hands (I was doing well until the fractures and went into “git er done” mode). So be it, showers are coming as it spits a lil here and there, a little bourbon and local ginger beer as an appetizer…
