To smooth the backside and ensure the flaps from the palm of the work glove that wrap/protect the magnets/provide no-slip grip don’t move around.
Total upgrade from the prototype. The adhesive I’m working with is WAY easier to manipulate, work with (it’s less viscous, in a little tube and cures faster) and an interesting primer.
I haven’t completely given myself the greenlight to build the AnnaBelle Skiff, but read the plans, flipped around through them, addressing little questions, connecting the dots. There’s a fair bit of using epoxy in joints and then “fillets” which are similar to the bead of caulk so often present in house construction. I little oozes out or a bead is run along a seam, then smoothed with a finger or tool.
No touching epoxy, though!!! (That’s going to be hard for me!)
The boat is really just a 3D puzzle, Man-Leggos if you will. Just not sure about where to do it, IF I can get my hands on a kit ASAP. It would be easier to do up here at the p~pad with space and tools, but I wouldn’t be able to make progress after work. Things at work will remain slow until Halloween or so (maybe thanksgiving, it just depends on how quickly it becomes how cold…) giving me a couple few hours a day and then crunch on weekends.
Guess I’ll check in with my landlord about a temporary boat shop shelter!!
