Yesterday

I recalled my learning of “Always save time for cleanup” as I wound down. The walls are built and sheathed, seams taped.

Today I bought roofing material, the ledger (for the rafters) and blocking.

It dawned on me as I tidied the million little things strewn about, I oughta just extend the ledger and make a roof across the entire back. It would add marvelous motostorage, but isn’t happening immediately, if at all. I don’t want to get distracted, because plumbing and electrical work will take time once the roof is on.

The two holes in the walls are rough openings for windows, some sliding glass door parts I collected this summer in the delivery van while out on my route. It was good timing. There will not be a door to the outside for many reasons.

I’m back from work/town and digesting a slightly late lunch, and will do some prep and head scratching as I accept that I’m in over my head, but will figure it out. I’ll do some research tonight, but it’s too beautiful outside to not be there!
