This barred owl hunt the other day. Its eyes would occasionally drift to almost closed, then snap back open with a head turn or twitch to follow some motion, potential prey.
It silently swooped closer to the house very interested in something in a huggel. It moved on after several minutes, for what reasons I know not. It’s curious to ponder why, but ultimately moot as I can’t think like an owl…
