It’s not “done“

But it “works”!

There’s a leftover slightly warped flap of ceramic fiberboard from the core of the riserless rocketstove on top of the core of the tower. It’s not a perfect seal but adequate. (Man am I glad I sprang for fresh cfb for the tower core, it made assembly and construction WAY smoother. Maybe someday I’ll create something with uniform bricks…)

I’m definitely rushing the cure, but going at the fire gently, using it to heat the bench, facilitate drying/curing.

It’s almost an optical illusion, the bricks and lines are so un-uniform the whole thing looks like a contraption, half about to tip over, half about to start wiggling and undulating. It’s friggin cool, it’s big, it works, and going to be so wonderful heating the home this winter!!!

Picking up materials to finish the bench this week. Very glad to not have to go to town today, and don’t work until 11a in the morning.

Core details to follow, very pleased with proud of the way it came together
