I’ve created a couple slow release buckets for a couple trees floating in sand. The roots were planted in soil I mixed and dumped in the holes at planting time. The hope is the roots of these two trees dig deeper through the sand into the soil below. (A great deal of sand was brought in to create the slab foundation for the house. Said slab is actually one of the main reasons I considered buying it.)
Now I’m going to water the squash gardens and explore levels in the grome. I was overwatering the latter, now dialing in the sweet spot. It uses much less water as the humidity is higher, experiences less air flow than outside, and stays still and humid at night.
A unique biome I am just learning about!
