An important resource

Out on the screened in porch, my rocket stove “bible” was unexpectedly dampened by a storn in the wee hours the other night. A 20 minute deluge replete with monstrous thunder delivered a soak after the slow rain of the previous day. (Thunder must have awoken me as I heard the rain go from 0-60 in a proverbial lightning flash. I didn’t get out of bed as there wasn’t anything I could do, nor needed to as the woodpiles were still covered. I did scootch my snoot a little closer to the window and listened to the water pound down, a gentle fresh mist of shrapnel coming through the screen of the lee window!)

A page at time, I interspersed a few dry pages in between the damp ones to draw the moisture from my precious resource, then left in the airflow zone of a fan that circulates air around through the cabin.

I’m not expecting the book to be perfect, just less puckered and drier sooner…
