My Number One Rule, get the wood OFF the ground! Sunlight is helpful, airflow is crucial. Cover it when it rains, but DON’T envelope it (unless you’re farming mushrooms…)
My neighbor had a well drilled today, what a god awful racket, four hours of it. What a relief to have them pull out. I’ll check in with him to see about the depth, expense, quality.
I’m in no rush to have all that noise and machinery on my land, one season at a time I suppose. (My filter system hasn’t shipped yet, easy to bring home a gallon from work.)
Couldn’t find the necessary steel for the secondary intake so I’ve ordered it online. Shipping from NC, hoping less than a week. I have hope that one of the Mason’s owners is able to do the weld, he owns a “do it all” company locally and has done some welding in the kitchen.
