All I need now

Is for the tires and some tools to show up. I’ve PLENTY of light, tickled with the upgrade!

You might not be surprised, as the theme has become persistent, but the stock tires are supposedly crap. They came with the bike, had only been used on tar. I did some dirt riding, then a thousand miles in Nova Scotia. It was fun to learn about nobbies, a dream I’ve had my whole life…

When Cedar and I were out together last week, it was more than clear they weren’t working well off-road, are spent. I’ve done my research, and earned a discount supporting BDR. MotoZ tires are the craft beer of tires, hard not to relate. Made in Australia (thus the name, sounds like Moat-Oz, as in Aussie) and designed for adventure biking. I’ll spare you the magnificent details that earned them a place on my BDR-Bomber.

Basically they kick butt off-road (wet, dry, hard, soft) and are well behaved on the tarmac, AND wear much longer than typical nobblies. What’s not to love?! They didn’t even break the bank, as one might think a niche tire would. They are selling scads of them!!

Stay tuned for the mounting process. I’m NOT attempting to mount street tires (yet) so MINCX is getting new sneakers Thursday in Trenton. I’ll be returning with seaweed (for the grome) and visiting with Jacob&Sayber en route home. That’s the plan at least
