Dry fitting

These pieces, the headlight guard (way cheaper than replacing the glass and bulb) and windscreen are gently zip tied in place, because I’m needing to visualize things.

The headlight assembly is only resting in place as well. I removed it last night for a couple reasons. The H4LED headlight bulb was a breeze to instal and will make mountains of difference.

I have also installed a new blinker system, maybe not as massive a mountain of difference, but important in a couple ways. They are rubber molded, so waterproof and WAY tougher than stock. They protrude less, so less vulnerable. Cherry on top, they also function as (white) running lights! I’ll be wiring them tonight (or soon) in conjunction with the handgrip heaters.

The headlight guard attaches to the headlight assembly. The windscreen attaches to the front forks. I’ll be able to reinstall the former when wiring is completed. I may wait though, as the front forks are coming off for spring and oil upgrades. That will afford me plenty of working space.

On the back end I’m able to partially button things up. I had to first rack my brain, then create a custom mounting solution for the new rear blinkers. Again, waterproof, relatively bombproof (is that like a definite maybe?), lower profile, brighter, and cherry on top, yup, run as (red) running lights as well as extra braking illumination. Increased visibility doesn’t solve every problem, but it helps! A flappy goofy stock blinker bulb is in the pic for comparison.

Time for lunch and then dirt play in the grome. The solar panel is still attached, winning! If I complete the front wiring projects the way will be cleared for suspension upgrades, perhaps the most important upgrade of all
