Truthfully the oven door isn’t falling apart like the firebox door did. It’s also leaky and needs to be addressed. Channeling creative flow towards invention, so as to explore a-whole-nother realm of creativity, the wood fired oven!!

The copper pipe at the foot of the oven opening was used to vacuum out the secondary air channel. It was hot, very hot. In fact the air was hot enough to comprise the vacuum hose over a foot downstream. Whoopsie, note to self, check channel temp before vacuuming. (It got very hot very quickly after my morning chores on the cool stove were done and a fire was lit. That ceramic fire board is something else (in its intense insulation capacity)!
