I reflect back on a wonderful Thanksgiving with my amazing sisters and their families. Sorry I didn’t get any Deedles pics, and the kids pretty much refused a group pic.
Today I also worked until dark, and the work I did wasn’t really visible (at a gentle distance). I was able to get some taping done after securing several glazing panels. The ideal tape temp window is 70-100*. Rrrrriiiiight….
November (almost December) isn’t the ideal time for dome building. So be it. Dry warm days are going to be spotty. Cool dry days will work, I can warm the surface/seam I’m taping/sealing.
The product is called “aircraft tape” and I’ve never worked with the stuff. It’s clear, strong, flexible, and needs to have a roller press it to activate the adhesive. It’s easy to work with, quite sticky, and seals the dome (eventually)
Wet day tomorrow, I’m going to town to get insulation. A project I can work on inside the dome. I won’t be totally dry in there, but progress is the name of the game.
It was a wonderful family visit, but it’s also great to be home. It’s much quieter in the DownEast woods! On that note, I’m inferring that my neighbors are visiting elsewhere as it’s silent next door, and that works for me!!
