Upon return from holiday, time to upgrade the stove!! I had a revelation last night pondering how to fit the new design into the existing flow of flu gases.
A solution revealed itself, I had to break down the existing pattern enough to see a functional different one. The flu gases will enter the oven (below the firebox) from the water heater/bench and THEN exit the flu, via the chimney. The oven won’t get as hot after the flu gases get through the water heater and bench, but the solution is barely shy of miraculous. I’ve been wracking my brain, even considering just upgrading the barrel and J-tube…
