Are going to be very wet, I’m staging materials and doing little things to facilitate the grome construction project.
Unfortunately I discovered a material discrepancy. The first layer of struts lay horizontally on the (level and circular) foundation. A foam backer rod is attached to outside top of the foundation walls which support the outside edge of the first struts, making a gentle 12* angle, the start of the dome curvature.
Unfortunately I have two separate lengths of rod. The first and longest came with my 26’ kit, designed to work for the 22’ dome. The second piece came after I realized the error and informed GrowingSpaces, it’s fatter, NO BUENO…
I have contacted them, but they likely have the day off. I’ll need the backer rod next week, and can’t move past the foundation walls until I get it sorted out!!
