The cylinder sticking away from the hinge is wax filled. When it warms, it pushes a rod out, pushing the window open. The warmer the cylinder/wax inside, the more the hinge opens!
These are the same openers that will control the upper vents on the grome. It’s good to be fiddling with them, getting my head into project mode. I’m going to start throwing rocks and rubble into the foundation hole soon. I had the 360* level out the other evening getting my bearings, exploring what level will look like in a rolling meadow.
It feels really good to be upta camp, I don’t think I want to work in Round Pond this winter. Less driving please, more P~pad time please!!!
