To savor the cool ocean gray. It’s low tide, scattered sprinkles, divine!
I had a half day down on the dock doing some “we’re closed” stuff. I had a first on my way there, skinned my knee a little after dropping my ebike on the dirt road on a sharp corner. The cant of the rode, the smooth tires and the juice from the back wheel all added up. Had gloves on so no damage there. Didn’t utilize my helmet.
I dropped a letter in the post to Deedles and after leaving the PO got soaked riding the rest of the way to work. It was lovely!
Thankfully Andréa was able to bring dry shoes and socks a few minutes later! We need more rain, but at least it’s cooler today and local socks are happening. I can hear some rumbles further off the coast, the live exposed seaweed smells wonderful on the breeze.
I needed to buzz down to the apt, forgot to take the trash out from last weekend and left some food in the fridge. I’ll linger briefly and be back in Round Pond by dark. My hosts are taking some important personal time going out to dinner, I’ll tidy things up and prepare to head home after another short day shift of prep tomorrow.
