Just came by for a feasibility visit. That yellow can of stain is about as close to the house as would work with the drilling truck. (fence and posts moved beforehand…)
It’s a big hit though, $4-8K just for the well, pump and wiring not included. Price of the latter depends on depth.
Over the long term it makes sense, doesn’t have to happen now, but ought to at some point. The grome has a 1K gallon tank, and it’s becoming obvious that a hot tub is in my nearish future to soften tired and strung muscles and bod. I’m pretty sure it’ll help the transition to sleep.
(It’s not that I sleep poorly, it’s getting the body to unwind enough to get there. Stretching is absolutely integral, but hot water would greatly facilitate the process, and make the stretching less work, as well as more effective.)
It’s on the list, somewhere at the top of the middle…
