Despite imminent decommissioning

The rocketstove mass water heater gets a fresh seal around the barrel. The next stove will also be a mass water heater, not sure it’s considered a rocketstove though.

It won’t be a J-tube, as the existing prototype is.

The height of the new stove top is approximated by the stack of bricks, a little shy (minus mortar).

I’m brushing water around the base of the barrel to soften up the clay/cobb while the slurry softens, I’ll be able to brush apply more clay once it has. Messy but silky smooth work.

It’s brilliant watching the surface undulate and shift as the clay moves around, adds to and morphs the stove’s landscape.
