We are up to 12 hours of daylight, it’s a weird exponential curve.
I failed to mention that in my first post today, so despite being in Bath (for the weekend) I’ll give some p-pad updates.
The birches are down and stumps coming out, making room for the shome.
This root likely going, or getting trimmed. It’s part of a two part maple and don’t think, despite its grandeur, altering the root won’t kill the tree
And the grome has been jutted back out into the garden a few feet, and scootched a few degrees clockwise lining up the door with the garden entrance. The big root behind my last position gave off the “Don’t mess” vibe and it’s tucked back in. Yesterday it even got some relocated turf/“sod” (I use the quotation marks as “grass” upta camp is a variety of things growing in and amongst the grass)
A couple rest days are welcome, but once back up it’ll be nice utilizing all this daylight! I’m hoping after this weekend’s rain frost won’t be an issue. (I’ve been UNDER the frost for a couple days by the stumps, what a glorious feeling to notice the shift. It’s also just so much more satisfying digging instead of scratching. I don’t recall ever digging frozen, it’s arduous…)
