Is putting it mildly, as well as merely staying the obvious in Maine. Today I saw a first.

It snowed for about a half hour, cold and hard. The wind picked up behind it bringing warmer air. Somehow, nature began arming herself with snowballs!
At first I thought some kids had been out playing, or a dog owner. Then I kept seeing little patches of these balls and skid marks and it dawned on me, despite never seeing the like.
I sprayed oil around the yard and on myself briefly while preparing to emptying the truck for kero tomorrow, classic in the “firsts” department, learning things right up to the end. Did laundry but that smell is pervasive, deeper clean this weekend. I WON’T have that smell in the apartment, a large part of why I miss propane delivery!

Then there’s the foot of water from the other day I backed up out of to deliver. Sheer ice underneath, I literally pulled my stiff legged posture along the truck from cab to pump. Totally nuts…
