Candle Repair (and training facility) has been enjoying some solstice hygge and general well being. Deedles has taken to it, perhaps mainly as candles are lit with BabyFlame, a small butane torch.
I gave myself a “Christmas Present” that is about to arrive (okay, is it no longer a christmas present?) and upgrades BabyFlame. Not in magnitude, I have blowtorches, but in quality.
Hugh.B.Jones has been offering tutelage to Deedles, discussing wicks, waxes, melting points, ratios of wax:wick. The candle pictured was struggling with balance but not dripping, gotta love beeswax! Tonight before dinner after releasing Deedles to the Ferry, Hugh centered the wick and thought, “This’ll be the next lesson”
Getting the hygge ramped up as we have entered the seasonal phase of
