My DeadPool knuckle

Is coming along rapidly. It’s a challenging shape to dress, it curves down the other side too. I’ve been very mindful to have articulation be part of the dressing process. I don’t want to loose movement, range of motion.

It’s was only the first dermal layer so it never had to “close up” and I’ve been diligent at keeping it clean and protected. I’ll be out on my own again Monday.

In the meantime, it’s been cool driving with my dispatcher. Especially since I’ve been encouraging him to explore and procure employment elsewhere (he’s been gently looking as he is underpaid, over worked, over utilized and treated poorly by some drivers) and his personal life has been deleteriously effected.

Well, as I’ve been healing, we’ve been working together (I drive and deal with paperwork, he hauls the hose and pumps, it’s way faster with two mindful workers) and he has secured a job very near him with a very different schedule, allowing him more time to enjoy his family and four season fishing.

I don’t feel as abused by the company as he does, but my morale is sinking, and while upta camp noticed (ahem, after a little research) that Dead River was hiring both seasonal and full time drivers out of their Calais depot. Why did I not apply?

I’m talking with him this weekend about it…
