It’s a wrap

On this piece of paper I wrote two things a little more than as many hours apart.

The laundry behind it, clothes lined dry, was part of the gap.

Friday after work our mechanic gave me the knowledge to discern why my “belt was squeaking” on Hedwig. ‘Twasn’t the belt at’all! Pulleys squeak when the bearings are shot.

After discerning which it was, I purchased the offender on the way home Friday and went about replacing it. Mostly.

Sunday my options to replace the serpintine belt were varied, I opted for, yup, as the paper says, Auburn. After hanging my laundry I suited up and had a beautiful ride to and from the armpit of Maine. Or is that Lewiston? They’re next to each other, whatev…

I then had to research the actual path of the belt. Yup, the second bit on the paper, a helpful diagram, thank you internet (the owner’s manual didn’t have it, typical…) The old one wasn’t as shot as it was threaded improperly, but a new one won’t hurt. My landlord, as angels do, appeared at just the right moment and barley laid his educated hands on the belt I was struggling to nestle into place.

Solid varied weekend, car fixed, didn’t have to drive it, lots of cooking, progress on Prodo, apartment tidied, prepared for some rain, ready for bed.

And yah, line dried laundry, the work uniform, perhaps another story. ‘Cept that I might opt for no cotton in the rain.
