Goes on MINCX tomorrow (you can’t really tell it’s on the rim) and I’ll pull the front and have that replaced.
There is a break in period, the exterior of the fresh tire is slippery, like riding in the rain. I could ride in a straight line for several hundred miles and as soon as I got into a corner, up onto fresh rubber, same slippery texture as new. I have to break in the surface of the tire, not the tire.
Makes perfect sense to ride gingerly on both fore and aft (to dip onto the boat lingo) and get ready for spring. The season isn’t over, but it’s dwindling rapidly!!
