After the silly experience attempting to purchase the Whisp, I did some talking, listening, sharing. Someone mentioned that the Maine Maritime Museum in Bath sometimes has locally crafted rowboats for sale.
I poked around and reached out, got some feedback, but nothing realistic. Then a week later got a return email, someone was donating a skiff back to the museum, was I interested?
Well K’YAH!!! Here is a link to a story, about a man that built one. The one I’m lined up to purchase is getting a new rub rail, paint and varnish touch ups (I don’t know the color scheme) and there are some small differences (simplicities, the boat, I believe, was made in a middle school class with guidance) but the hull/lines are the same.
