The 3 in the lower left corner, after “PAS” is the level of Pedal Assist. It kicks in (the electric motor that is) when the pedals turn, and what an assist.

It was nice to get exercise that wasn’t work, but I’m hardly complaining about work. It’s also nice to get out on a couple wheels. I’ve rendered Downy useless, a bunch of fault codes suddenly popped up and it won’t start. Largely my fault, with wiring and running it without moving and stepping on the brake pedal (testing the rear lights) and putting air in the rear shock. Pretty much the perfect storm. I’ve retrieved the fault codes and in the process of learning more about them, and potential fixes. It’s probable it’ll need professional attention. Frustrating in many ways…
