Rapidly morphed into 11a-11p. I’m glad I didn’t take up the offer for the run, no matter how temporary it is.
I buzz up to Johnny’s Seeds first thing across the river from Waterville, return to Lewi to drop the trailer, run three local stops, then rehook and drive to Manchester and back. Having the long run at the end of the day isn’t awesome, but it’s early enough so I don’t go crosseyed.
It’ll be a couple of good paychecks, but I’m feeling the drain. Reinforces how much I’m looking forward to starting consistent days on Monday the 15th.
I’m working on letting go of the pressure I feel to find an apartment closer to work. I can temporarily accept a half hour commute (there are a couple routes, one is rather pretty along the river) but that acceptance feels somewhat like putting off the inevitable.
I suppose I don’t have to leave my apartment, but having wanting for a couple months doesn’t stimulate feeling “settled”. I moved back to Maine a couple decades ago to settle. It’s been anything but…
Oh there have been some hints at, snippets of, temporary moments of feeling, being settled. But that’s pretty much an oxymoron, “Hey, I’m feeling temporarily settled!” (Blow raspberry….)
Press on regardless, no real reason to complain, taking it in stride and perspective, things are rather good, albeit temporary. Gentle shrug…
