We watched a video first. I then constructed a jig or form, something to stabilize and keep the spring compressors safely in place
Our coil compressors were larger than the pair in the video, so after the first version didn’t work out well enough (note that it wasn’t a FAIL) I had to customize the jig, recompress the spring to right it
It worked flawlessly, and the second one happened in mere minutes, safe as could be, zero stress.
