Last winter when I lived in Bath I purchased a thermometer, nothing fancy, but worked on the second floor. It was only temporarily effected by morning sun.
My current apartment, The 2ool, gets way more sun, has lots more screen obstacles, and sliding windows that would knock it off the suction cup.
Turns out it fits behind the screen, and though the sun will make less than accurate most the day, at least it’s up… I’m watching needle dive as it adjusts, the plastic cools
