Snowdrops behind the cabin ready themselves to gobble some of the now greater than 13 hours of daylight. They follow the climactic boundaries around them.

These plants, within this mini-biome, follow different parameters, artificial ones. Maybe manipulated is more accurate. Part of me, of course, thinks “I oughta plant more of the things outside said biome inside, so as to compare.”
But I don’t really want to emphasize or compare the difference…. It’s arduous enough outside waiting for spring, emphasizing that I’d rather live the winter months in parameters more similar to my manipulated microclimate.
As far as where the climate is headed on a macro scale, that’s anyone’s guess to a degree. We know it’s changing, likely irreversibly, arguments abound, discussion less so, action even less so, but any ass can see that our behavior exacerbates it.
Denialists are fascinating, and like microclimates, dwell within their own manipulated parameters, disconnected from those that make life possible. It’s going to be a wild ride, no matter where one stands, because the vast majority of us live in this big biome called Earth. (A few are in space, which of course to get there only worsens the change back on Earth. Again, fascinating, will going to the moon, increasing our carbon output, makes things better down here? Not a whole lotta discussion about that. Maybe we’ll wait until the satellites start falling and cascading down to pause looking up long enough to look down and act responsibly towards the parameters of our fragile hostess. Maybe…)
