With zero fanfare

Up here in WaCo, we cross a threshold that’s important to me. Maybe yesterday was “the green tide” as a “blue wave/tide” gently surges across the troubled nation, this tide of daylight waxes, rises.

As my work day was abbreviated by nasty weather, I made it home well before dark, the refreeze. Water is moving, at least more so after cutting through high spots. Standing water creates a variety of nightmares, and earth shifts considerably around here. I’ve created drainage solutions, albeit not permanent ones.

The grome has been a welcome reprieve from the weather, yesterday I was able to be outside and make some spring progress. After some mild temps and rain, retreating snow reveals the state of fall and projects hidden since thanksgiving. Unfinished projects jostle around on the priority scale, but thaw isn’t fully here yet.

More daylight than dark ushers that gently in, but frogs won’t be singing for a month or more
