The amp sounds amazing. Realistically the amp itself (technically a receiver but I’ll likely never use the radio part) doesn’t make any noise, but sends signals from components to the speakers. It sends nicely.
The cd player, unfortunately doesn’t work. At all. Well, it turns on and thinks, but the tray won’t open. There are marks on the tray door opening that indicate someone tried to get it to open. What really pisses me off is that Crutchfield repackaged the component either without testing and inspecting it, or worse, repackaged it with the knowledge it was both damaged and nonfunctional. Fressa fressa.
They’ll make it right, but it’s an unfortunate process. I’m doing some research on players. I didn’t know one could spend thousands of dollars on a cd player! At least the amp sings…
