An essential accessory…. It may not be an oxymoron, anymore than “essential”, but for my snazzy new phone to play music through my home stereo, I needed a gadget.
It’s absurd how many options there were, the majority of course being cheap garbage mass produced in foreign factories. This adapter is more than a conduit though.
While researching, I learned that a DAC doo-dad sounds better as it converts the digital signal to analog, thus DAC (Digital to Analog Converter).
That’s the theory at least, and prices varied. I shot for the middle, from a positively reviewed company, for what that’s worth on the World Wide Web of misinformation and tangled tales of profiteering…
It doesn’t need batteries, wasn’t much more expensive than just a regular jack, so I guess I’ll plug the thing in see. My new phone has a USB C charging port, I’ve never connected to my stereo that way before…
