I was connecting the dots

And then this image screamed the truth.

We will look back on this unprecedented time, how a complacent population sorta lost interest in politics, began to feel some hope under a Black president, allowed this all to come into play.

To see a public office become so vindictive,vengeful, full of spite and malice. To see public funds be turned back on to the public in violence and for profit incarceration. To see the truth become so mangled and managed, spin spun to propaganda

Democracy is not a spectator sport. The casual comfort we sank into has been ruptured, the curtain is pulling back, and if history is to not repeat itself, those with morals and empathy will leave comfort behind, wrest the truth back into the light, and act.

Or it’s going to get much darker before the dawn
