Updated fire science

I’m taking a different approach, after burning out two flus.

The flu itself isn’t covered and I’m working the stove VERY differently

Not only am I not running it wide open, I’m practically running it closed! The stove is sipping air but burning hot. All that hot gas runs into the bench, and just before it climbs out

Has cooled considerably. Where does the heat go? Into the bench and floor (via the bench water heater) as intended. All this plus running the floor circulation pump on medium versus low, gets way more heat out of the wood and into the house.

Learning and adapting, loving the outcome!
