
Of wood heating (and the applicable stove) is cooking. I’ve had a chicken stock going for DAYS and it’s remarkable! It adds fragrance and moisture to the air, and warm wet nutrition to me. Softening up some squash for my noodle bowl lunch, of which the noodles will cooked IN stock.
The grome had some ice in it this morning but the sun is working it. I’ll pop down after lunch and get some faux spring fiddling in.
If I knew winters were going to be this consistently brutal, I’d likely have some wood heating down there, but this winter is an abomination as well as aberration …
