A well shoveled yard, by my standards like my gardening, doesn’t really look “shoveled” more than it appears to free of snow in important areas.

Biomass redistribution at its finest. The snow doesn’t feel like biomass, but there’s a lot of it. Making way for more as another cold storm = dry snow moves in.
