To the hardware store in Machias, Wellington got filthy, the worst kind. Fine sand and salt all up in his business. The sand was melting stuff on the roads, YIKES!
I was returning the parts I didn’t use for the stove reconnect. I used one adjustable 90* elbow and crimped male union, returning four other things. I’ve learned to over shop and return if necessary. The folks at Hammond know me well enough to understand the process.
To and fro it wasn’t “bad driving” just gross, like when a truck goes by in the other direction and completely coats the car is a sandy salty mist. Waaaaaah!
Once home again, I gave it a power rinse and a bit of a blow dry, thankfully its sunny spot helped it dry out, cold dry air is helpful like that…
The grome isn’t clearing off despite some sun, but isn’t freezing up inside. Might see some of that this weekend, but I don’t think as bad as just after new years.
