Why this

Empty van (bereft of packages) is significant.

It’s the first time I’ve “delivered out” in over a month. It’s been a looooong wintery month since Thanksgiving, but I’m caught up. Yesterday I started early to get rid of the packages from the night before as I got off the road when things began freezing up from a day of light rain. It was getting dangerous!

It was a long day (at 9.5 hours) but not grueling. I don’t have any pickups (as of yet, the window is open for another hour or so) so will fire up the van and don the costume when my freight from Bangor is due, about noon.

AND the GPS didn’t go into night mode until after 4PM as the sun was painting the sky in Lubec! We are almost up to 9 hours of daylight, yesterday I noticed. One customer felt winter should stop mixing, “pick whiskey or beer, but this mixing is crazy!” and then mentioned it’s only (ahem) 90 days until spring. Only 90
