Pardon the gaps

Alas, Deedles is planning his route home after a wonderful visit. It’s been a quiet session, he was at camp when I returned from work after dark Friday. He’s slunked around Saturday while I cleared the van but was able to return midafternoon.

With this deep winter cold and snow weave been laying low, cozy in the cabin, eating healthy and hearty. He LOVED the moose, but what isn’t good next to creamed onions and mashed potato?! (That is what’s for breakfast today with a spinach salad side.)

Deedles, while still my son, has fully become a young adult in the throws of college and the myriad of layers and levels it offers. He’s capitalizing on many of them, and articulating as much. After a burger lunch he hits to road for quick handoff at Grandy’s and then bops around in Portland with some local pals before ultimately landing back on Peaks.

I’ll busy myself around the cabin reflecting and celebrating his visit, presence in my life. I scored M&T off and savoring a catch-up break. I have the last week of January off so eyeing the list and lining up some projects
