A lil switcheroo

Moving vehicles around, switching spots

So I can move some wheels around, switching tires temporarily. The patch that occurred from a gravel chunk down in Harpswell is gently leaking more. Whether it’s the cold or the poor patch is weakening OR something else (they patch people put a balance weight on the rim versus the adhesive weights already present) it’s almost gone flat. There’s no need for it, so off it goes for further repair.

I was going to replace all four tires this fall. Since I drive so little and accrued some considerable well debt, plus the ability to rely on my delivery van for necessities (for clarification I don’t DO errands in my van, I swing by places while or after working) I’m milking the existing tires.

I was contemplating separate winter rims with hardcore winter tires. It’s an option still, just dealing the current problem currently.

It’s in the high 20’s and I’m blogging outside in flurries, practically feels hot. Appreciative of a coming thaw this weekend. Deedles has hit the road with a couple errands at Grandy’s en route.

It’s quiet around the cabin, there’s a hole, vacancy. Working on the impulse to fill it, instead accepting and working with it. It’ll flex and feel normal again (I work in the morning, but might not have to hit the pavement until just before noon) and I’ll have a week of vacation and then the days will be longer with bulbs and bugs and I’ll see him again.

There is a very strong connection there, albeit not the usual relationship. It’s a quirky mutually beneficial ’ship we are sailing in the seas of life
