Perhaps, but if it isn’t crumbled, it is certainly absolutely toasted, fried, burnt, rendered useless!
No, really, completely zapped. It’s fire science. I didn’t think it would happen, it did. Lesson.
Solution in progress (I’ve cleaned up most of the crumbs and scraps, plugged the hole down here AND sealed the outside top of the chimney. It won’t be a gaping heat loss on my watch.
There’s at least that. Now, the goal will be to not get so focused on the solution process tomorrow that I pass by deliveries (it happened a fair bit during the well process…)
