Is getting heavy (as I’m under that green rain blob)!

Precip started mid afternoon as I worked my way up the coast from Cutler after freight showed up in my van that was serviced yesterday.

Slow going with many stops and mostly unplowed and unsanded driveways, rain by dark in Lubec, wet roads and a request from dispatch to get OFF ROAD. Clearly worse things were happening elsewhere…

I picked off a few more stops on my way back, fueled in Machias and began working my way back up to the highlands. The salt on the road switched to sand, and LOTS of it, and then seeing it mixed with new snow.

I was thinking about it as I drove along home, it’s not “winter driving (conditions)” anymore, it’s “just driving” and it’s not even winter, but it’s been full crap since thanksgiving! Wind is now thrashing heavy blobs of snow from the trees, it might be warmer outside than it is upstairs!!!
