I went out in a storm. Made worse by more late freight. The colored shapes represent that which didn’t get delivered.

Today I went out (in different boots but still in kilt, the photo is from Monday) and swept up many of the crumbs before a monster load of timely freight. Casual 12 hour day…
This morning I got an “Aye Laddie” when I dismounted and then handed a mildly mangled box of NY bagels to a fellow. It cracked me up as it was an I direct acknowledgment. Many don’t notice. One fellow in Lubec held the door for me as I was bolting from a stop in a store and did a sort of double take looking down, but didn’t say anything verbally or in his face.
I love it!! It’s light, flows with me, warm enough in my lap, keeps snack crumbs from falling between my legs and onto the seat I do have to give the back a gentle scoop with my right hand when I plunge into the driver seat so as to not block the seat belt latch, but it’s quickly becoming muscle memory.
Peak is hitting hard, replete with unseasonal cold snap, like record setting cold snap. The fire is roaring and I’m fading, contemplating a second cup of tea. Me thinks I’ll floss and brush and retire, I’ve more crumb sweeping to do in the morning… (When’s the last time you put in a 12 hour shift?!)
